Today I get to review Walk With Me Now” by: A Circle Of Faith.
This song starts off with a super strong vibe with church bells and a nice looping vocal that makes you wonder if it will play a role in the actual instrumental. As the song continues and the rapper comes in he brings a unique style that hooks you instantly into the song. The instrumental gives off a military vibe, with some fun up-tempo drums that have a nice military roll, and then switches up in too a heavy booming marching band sound that gives the vocals a chance to shine. I hear no other instruments except possibly a whistle that makes me feel like whatever is being said is important and needs to be heard and paid attention to.  The rapper raps over this thrilling drum line displaying his faith in Jesus and his religious beliefs. He tells us about what he believes to be absolute truth and says it in a way that is fun, friendly, and catchy, he offers delivery that could be easy to learn and fun to sing along with.
In the background, we hear a choir come in that makes the song full and completes the emptiness that would normally be filled with backing instruments. Walk With me Now, tells me the rapper is wanting to give the listener an audio walk through the life he lives, the life that he tries to live with Christian values and keeping in tune with Jesus Christ. He tells us you can be from anywhere, from any walk of life, and still have these values. as I move on to the Remix, I’m interested to see if they have added other instruments, as soon as I hit play this hard-hitting club jam stars haha WHOA! I was not expecting a Ludacris-type beat to come in I can hear some awesome piano stabs, possibly bass stabs with some great 808s pounding away in the background. I feel like the vocals are a little low on this with all the other instruments going on and the song almost loses some of its substance as the vocals are no longer front and center. The looping vocals at the start and end are now, at least in my headphones almost silent, as They are so far behind the beat. This is very weird for me because, in the original version, the vocals outshine the drums which I think is perfect, it does what a religious style song is supposed to and that is spread the word, but in this version, the beat is really good, like so good that I feel like this particular song of praise shouldn’t even be on it. Whoever created this instrumental is a master of their craft, this is a club jam, a song that if given to Ludacris, Lil John, or someone from Atlanta could be a hit! Excellent work!
