In Ukraine, a studio has joined forces with musicians who oppose war, creating remarkable music that promotes unity and friendship. Through their collaborative efforts, they transcend divisions and inspire listeners with their powerful messages through songs. Together, they harness the universal language of music to heal, unite, and forge connections that defy the ravages of conflict.

“Admiral’s Daughter” is a song I really like because it combines a smooth funk sound with elements of classic rock. It has that nostalgic feel that takes me back to the golden era of music. The storytelling in this song is truly exceptional, especially in capturing the struggles and challenges faced by a child growing up with a military father (atleast thats what I got out of it). The lyrics are thought-provoking and deeply moving, painting a vivid picture of life’s hardships and the longing for connection. The saxophone adds a touch of brilliance, elevating the overall composition to another level.

“Burning” kicks off with a killer riff that immediately transports me to the heyday of 70s rock. It’s one of those songs that you want to crank up while driving down a long stretch of highway, contemplating life and leaving love behind. The raw energy and emotion in the vocals and instrumentals make it an unforgettable track.

“Daddy’s Girl” continues to showcase the band’s exceptional musicianship. The instrumentals throughout the album have been consistently impressive, and this song is no exception. Although the vocals may appear a bit subdued compared to the previous tracks, the heartfelt lyrics shine through, touching on the universal theme of fatherly love and the precious moments shared with one’s children. As a father myself, I can’t help but relate to the nostalgic reminiscence of checking on your kids at night, cherishing those unforgettable memories. The piano melodies are simply brilliant, adding a layer of tenderness to the song.
It’s disheartening to think that the songwriter behind these incredible songs may be overlooked by the mainstream industry. The writing is masterful, with each track on the album progressing seamlessly from one stage of life to the next. The depth and intricacy of the compositions demonstrate a level of artistry that deserves wider recognition.

“Disposable Man” grabs your attention right from the start with its captivating drum line. The haunting opening lines immediately set the tone for a song that delves into themes of escape, isolation, and dealing with the pain and loneliness that life sometimes brings. It’s a powerful exploration of the human experience and the struggles we face when trying to find our place in the world.

When “New Mexico Nights” starts, it evokes the spirit of classic rock bands like the Eagles. The song tells a heart-wrenching story of a father longing to see his daughter after six long months of separation, as the mother drives off, leaving him in despair. The guitar solo is a thing of beauty, conveying the deep emotions that permeate the lyrics. The line “I gotta find my soul or I have to go” encapsulates the desperate search for meaning and purpose in life.

“River of Shame” continues to showcase the band’s flawless instrumentation. Every song on the album demonstrates their top-tier talent and attention to detail. It feels like a personal outpouring of lost love, broken homes and reflections on life’s ups and downs. The musicality and arrangement draw you in, enhancing the poignant lyrics and making for an unforgettable listening experience.

“Samantha’s Song” opens on a somber note with the line “God throws up curveballs, and I was swinging in the darkness.” The saxophone takes center stage in this song, providing an exquisite accompaniment to the catchy and poignant lyrics. It’s a wonderful tribute to a woman who holds a special place in the songwriter’s heart, capturing the essence of their relationship and the complex emotions that come with it.

“Swallow the Pain” introduces an uptempo feel, providing a brief respite from the melancholy that permeates the rest of the album. The infectious energy and catchy melodies made me pay close attention to the lyrics. I realized this song is a very serious song and focused on PTSD and the effects of going to war. The piano solo is an absolute delight, showcasing the band’s exceptional talent
