so the back story of this song is:

This song is about my Job I’ve had for 15 years now coming to a end. I’ve passed out due to exhaustion and almost died on this dock 6 years ago and 2 years ago I broke my back there. I could go on & on…

This year I was diagnosed with PTSD and have been on short term disability. I’ve been in therapy for over 6 months now and on antidepressants. Next week it looks like I will be terminated but I trust in God and whatever my new path is. Rather than concentrate on the negative I wrote this song with hopes to turn it to a positive. I pray this song can touch people who deal with mistreatment and mishandling of situations at there place of work.

As soon as I hit play I instantly thought HOLY FUCK! I absolutely love the chorus. I read the back story and this song so well written I can easily fall into his pain and feel it right with him. I think so many people in the world can relate to this song. This is the type of song that has so much meaning it’s too real for the average listener.
The Hook is really powerful , it’s sang in fun melodic way that is infectious and easy to remember… Man this is great.

Imagine putting countless hours in for nothing, for big wigs to turn their backs when its hard for you, even though when its hard for them its your job to help the. “Whats the purpose to over work us” “my girls got cancer i’m barley there” this song is heart breaking. After the first verse I want to just punch someone in the face, particularly someones asshole boss.

I often wonder why we work so hard just to so often scrape by? This song reminds me of how much my own body hurts, and how much I’ve made someone else and how little I’ve made my self.
“Swore one time this is where I’d Retire” “OH YOU GONE FIRE ME”?
this song is so powerful with Old Man Brandon warning them, FIRE ME THEN !!! it seems like it would almost be a blessing to be fired, but of course we all need money and more importantly we all just want to be treated fairly and with respect and it really seems this is Brandon’s main complaint, aside from the 9 hour shifts with no breaks…

I really really like this song.. this is easily the best song I’ve reviewed yet. I also love how Old Man Brandon did not forget that the people in the office are working hard to and this isn’t a diss to anyone except the suits in control…
